How transformational leadership qualities can improve your learning journey.

Having the qualities of the transformational leader is able to improve my learning journey in different ways. I would be disciplined enough to complete work in a timely manner by knowing what to be done everyday. Besides, I would be inspirational to other team members when performing team work by showing them the efforts I put into the work, making them to take me as role model. I would also accept the ideas of the team members and discuss them together. Not being arrogant and only insists on my own ideas. Apart from these, I would spend appropriate amount of time trying out the different ways of performing work. Last but not least, I would be able to adapt to different types of work by doing research on the things that I am confused to and find ways out of it.

Qualities of a transformational leadership and its effects on achieving organizational goals.

Transformational leaders are able to positively impacts the employees and lead them to achieve the organizational goals by their distinctive transformational leadership qualities mentioned in the previous post.

Transformational leaders are able to highly motivate his employees, making them to put more effort into work, realize the performance outcomes and even exceed the expectations (Steinmann et al. 2018).  They are inspirational and willing to entertain new ideas, prompting their employees to personally identify with them and motivating them to speak out their ideas without being afraid (Bass 1985).

Besides, they would usually set an achievable goals for its employees to achieve. However, they would usually give their employees the freedom to organize and plan the goal striving process, without much interruption (Steinmann et al 2018). Their self-management quality would have impacts on their employees to self-regulate at work, to achieve both organizational and personal goals.

They are also able to convince their employees that goals are important and achievable by playing as an role model to their employees. Their qualities of being a transformational leaders would usually make their employees have a broader feeling that they are also able to pursue and achieve their goals successfully as their leaders (Kark et al. 2013).

Qualities of transformational leadership.

Yscouts (n.d.) mentioned that a transformational leader needs to be self-manageable, inspirational, willing to entertain new ideas, being able to take the right risk and being able to adapt to any situation.

A transformational leader should be a highly disciplined leader who could guide and manage themselves properly without needing much direction from other people.  They also highly motivate themselves and the employees in the organization to guide them to stay on the right path.

Besides, they should also be inspirational not only limited to formal acknowledgement of a job well done, but also giving sufficient motivation and supports to the employees and valuing their efforts in the organizations, pushing them to grow beyond their limits.

They are also receptive to the new ideas from the employees. They are very open-minded and they understand that every employee could contribute to the success of the organization. Every idea matters.

Combining both instincts and intelligence, they are willing and able to take the calculated risk based on the in-depth research needed to calculate a certain situation in detailed. They would never blindly take any risk but all the decision they make are based on proper research and calculations.

Last but not least, they are able to adapt to any changes in the market by having the abilities to detect changes and respond to them immediately. They are never afraid of the changes and they would find creative solutions to address the issues and make the organization stand out among the competitors.

Needs for a transformation change in an organization.

Transformational change indicates the change in the organizational culture resulting from a disruptive change in the underlying processes and strategies being adopted by the organization in the past (Business Dictionary n.d.). Transformation usually indicates a reorientation in the organization and it does bring enormous benefits to the organization if it is done in a right way.

Transformation change usually makes organization become a disruptive players in the market, bringing new groups of target consumers to the organizations, offering new values proposition and generating more revenues using different channels (Manzoni et al 2018). These types of the organizations would become a competitive competitors to the incumbent organizations that refuse to make huge change to their business and losing out in the competition.

Without transformational change, organizations are very likely to lose their competitive advantage over other competitors who are responsive to the trends and make changes in their businesses to meet the ever changing needs and demands of the consumers (Vizcayno 2015).
